SomiSomi (Frisco)
Whether you are on the hunt for a late-night sugar fix or just want to find a spot with some unique fare, SomiSomi is the place for you. The California-based ice cream shop serves Korean-inspired soft serve in flavors like matcha, sesame, ube and milk tea—and you cannot forget about the unlimited toppings! Patrons can choose from coconut flakes, macarons, Fruity Pebbles, fruit and much more to decorate their sweet creations.
This delicious dessert is made-to-order and served in an ornate fish-shaped cone perfect for pictures. Loyal guests recommend trying a sweet and savory combination like an ube and black sesame swirl—the nuttiness of the black sesame and the sweetness of the ube create a unique flavor profile.
Truck Yard (The Colony)
The Truck Yard is not your typical restaurant—it is an experience. The come-as-you-are beer garden has garnered a large following due to its live music, relaxed environment and rotating food trucks supplying customers with an array of delicious dishes. The restaurant currently has two other locations in Dallas and Houston; however, The Colony location is by far the most noteworthy.
It features a 1,400-piece collection of decorated toilet seats and Belgian-style brews like the perfect classic sour beer. Additionally, Truck Yard also includes a tiki bar, karaoke room and its signature cheesecake stand. Remember to bring your A-game for a night out at Truck Yard—there are life size-games of Connect 4, Battleship and two Bocci Ball courts for guests to enjoy.
The Chinese Neighbor (Prosper)
The Chinese Neighbor is an Asian kitchen featuring traditional dishes with an American twist for a unique dining experience. Chef Bob Tam takes Chinese ingredients and pairs them with American favorites to craft dishes such as beef patty egg rolls and a dumpling burger. Do not forget about the classics, though. The Chinese Neighbor also serves made-to-order, time-tested favorites such as egg foo yung and General Tso’s chicken.
The Cookshack (Fort Worth)
Located in the heart of Fort Worth, The Cookshack offers diners "Texas-style" hot chicken in a variety of heat levels. The restaurant serves large portions and only uses all-natural, hormone-free chicken. Guests can also choose from favorites like apple-wood smoked ribs, hand-battered chicken tenders or chicken and waffles. For dessert, they offer an ice cream sandwich made with oatmeal cookies and vanilla ice cream.
Punch Bowl Social (Fort Worth)
Punch Bowl Social is a Denver-based chain that combines made-from-scratch dishes, craft beverages and social gaming. The brand’s aesthetic fuses industrial and midcentury modern designs with smaller themes giving a nod to Fort Worth—look for the "Rockin’ Robin" birds printed around the main bar and possum-inspired wallpaper in the karaoke room.
The menu, crafted by Food Network star Hugh Acheson, combines classic American diner dishes with a fresh, modern take on Mexican cuisine. Punch Bowl Social is the perfect spot to turn your Friday evening into a game night full of good friends and great food.
Salubrious Juice and More (Frisco)
For the health-conscious, Salubrious Juice and More offers wholesome, nourishing foods and smoothies made from 100% organic ingredients. They also offer juice cleanse programs to detoxify the body and boost immune system function.
If you are unsure what to pick, try a favorite among regulars: the Blind Date smoothie. This delicious option is made with mango, banana and date. Customers also rave about the acai bowls that come with an assortment of healthy toppings including nuts, berries, bananas and more.
