- Ruins: Tacos, tortas, cocktails and more, Ruins is a Mexican cuisine restaurant with Oaxacan, Caribbean and South American influences.
- Brick & Bones: While they are known for serving up delicious fried chicken and habanero-bacon macaroni and cheese, Brick & Bones also offers patrons a full bar and relaxed vibe.
- Uncle Uber's: This spot is a more laid-back option with traditional sports bar fare like sandwiches and burgers. Visitors love the hand-cut fries.
- Do you have a sweet tooth you want to satiate? Picolé Pops’ homemade popsicles come in a variety of flavors—some are even infused with alcohol. You have probably heard of Emporium Pies in the Bishop Arts District, but did you know they have another location in Deep Ellum? If you are having a difficult time deciding which slice of pie flavor to get, try the Drunken Nut, Emporium Pies’ take on a pecan pie featuring a dash of bourbon and some shortbread crust.
For that morning or afternoon pick-me-up, head over to Merit Coffee. Visitors sing the praises of this local coffee shop, plus they also serve a house-made pop tart.

The nightlife in Deep Ellum is where this cool Dallas neighborhood really comes alive. Deep Ellum has a longstanding reputation as a live music hotspot. Next time you are in the area, you should plan to take full advantage of all its music venues and catch a show.
