Looking for an outdoor movie night? The Sundown at Granada restaurant hosts a free movie night every Wednesday at 8:30 PM on their covered rooftop. Their special food and drink menu will satisfy your appetite while you enjoy classic films from a different decades. This June 27th, the 1995 classic, Pulp Fiction will be featured for a 21+ audience.
If you are looking for some more privacy for your outdoor movie night and are feeling nostalgic, head out to this drive-in about half an hour outside Dallas in Ellis County. Since 2004, Galaxy Drive-In has expanded from three to seven screens for customers viewing pleasure and from one to two snack bars. Open four nights a week, tickets for the double feature range from $3 for children to $7 for 12 year olds and up.
This amusement park is for thrill seekers who want to have an adrenaline-fueled summer. Their 5 extreme rides only found at this location in Dallas include Bungee Jumping, Skycoaster, Nothing but Net, Skyscraper and Texas Blastoff. These rides will absolutely be the excitement you are looking for. Zero Gravity is open at 4 PM during the weekdays and at 12 PM on the weekends. You can either pay as you go or buy different packages according to your interest.
Bowling is a great activity to gather the family together or for a fun night out with friends when the Texas summer heat is too much for outdoor activities. Bowl & Barrel’s wide selection of food, drinks and great atmosphere make it a fun place for all ages. They are open Sundays through Thursdays from 11 AM until 12 AM and until 2 AM on Fridays and Saturdays with prices ranging from $30 to $50 an hour.

This 1,015 acre city lake is only 5 miles northeast of downtown Dallas and has several summer activities.You can kayak on the lake, go fishing, take a hike or use their bike trail. There is even a dog park that your beloved canine companions will love.
Approximately 45 minutes outside of Dallas in Fort Worth, Rockin’ the River is an event held every Saturday from July 6 to August 10 at Panther Island Pavilion. What better way to spend the summer than by tubing down the Trinity River and listening to live music?
